European law firm Fieldfisher has advised HotelRunner, the fast-growing global hospitality and travel technology provider, on a US$6.5 million Series A financing from a group of new and existing investors.

The strategic partnership was agreed upon in 2022 between HotelRunner and Wix, a NASDAQ-listed leading global SaaS platform.

It combines Wix's comprehensive online platform with HotelRunner's end-to-end travel technology offering a complete solution for all types of accommodation properties to manage and grow their hospitality businesses online.

Arden Agopyan, the founder and managing partner at HotelRunner's said, "We began working with Ward, Brunning, and the Fieldfisher team and they were very valuable from all the way to negotiations and closings. Fieldfisher's understanding of our technology and business model along with their global expertise in every aspect of business law was impressive. It made the whole process seamless for HotelRunner. We will continue to develop leading global technology products for our partners and simultaneously grow our base in new markets."

Ali Beklen, the founder and managing partner of HotelRunner commented, "We would like to thank the Fieldfisher team for their valiant and outstanding efforts and for helping our company to cement its position of pioneering the travel technologies in global markets with their extensive knowledge. We are continuously investing in our technology to deliver industry-leading products and to help our partners to achieve sustainable growth. Working with Ward and Brunning, and the team at Fieldfisher is a real pleasure."

Commenting on the partnership, Fieldfisher corporate partner Tom Ward said, "This deal is an example of Fieldfisher's strength in advising international emerging tech companies on their establishment in the UK/EU markets and venture capital transactions, software development, and licensing arrangements. I would like to congratulate Agopyan, Beklen, and the HotelRunner team on securing this financing to underpin their next phase of growth."

The Fieldfisher team advising HotelRunner was led by corporate partner Tom Ward. He was supported by technology partner John Brunning on the software licensing arrangement.
