Stephenson Harwood and Linklaters Advised on ComfortDelGro's $349 Million Acquisition of Addison Lee

Stephenson Harwood has advised Singaporean transport operator ComfortDelGro on its £269 million (USD $349 million) acquisition of British private hire cab and courier company Addison Lee. Linklaters represented the shareholders of Addison Lee in the transaction.

In a filing to the Singapore Exchange (SGX), ComfortDelGro stated that the acquisition aims to strengthen its presence in the premium mobility market, expanding its global taxi and private-hire fleet to over 34,000 vehicles.

Addison Lee is reported to be the largest premium point-to-point transport provider in Britain, with a fleet of 5,000 vehicles and 7,500 drivers. ComfortDelGro currently operates CityFleet Networks across multiple locations in Britain, along with various bus and coach services.

The Stephenson Harwood team for this acquisition was led by Corporate Finance Partner David Dowding, with key support from Associates Charmaine Yuen, Bryton Chin, and Alex Goodman.
