Indian law firm JSA Law played a key role in facilitating a significant investment deal for Electronica Finance Limited (EFL). LeapFrog Investments and Aavishkaar Capital, leading investors in high-growth markets, have proposed an investment of approximately ₹399.4 crore ($48 million) in the Pune-based financial services company.
The JSA team, led by Sidharrth Shankar (Lead Partner) and Prakriti Jaiswal (Partner), provided comprehensive legal counsel to LeapFrog and Aavishkaar Capital throughout the investment process. The team comprised Dhruv Malhotra (Principal Associate), Jatin Oberoi (Associate), Pranav Rao N (Associate), and Shubhankar Tiwari (Associate). The investment involves a primary investment by LeapFrog and Aavishkaar in Electronica's Series B funding round, alongside a secondary acquisition of shares by LeapFrog. As per regulations, the transaction is subject to prior approval by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and will be finalised after a mandatory 30-day regulatory notice period.
EFL, a part of the SRP Electronica Group, is a middle-layer non-banking financial company (NBFC) registered with the RBI, EFL offers a diverse range of financial products including machine loans, business loans, rooftop solar financing, loans against property, and micro-enterprise loans.
