The USD 150 million loan was disbursed in December
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has advised the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) to provide approximately USD 150 million in loans to IndusInd Bank India Limited.
DFC and IndusInd Bank (acting through its branch in GIFT city), executed the agreement. The funding has been done for microfinance lending to women borrowers in rural communities in the states of Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
The project and project finance practice of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas acted as the legal counsel for DFC. The transaction team was led by Ramanuj Kumar (partner) and Aditi Misra (partner). They were supported by Shrey Srivastava (senior associate).
Other advisors on the transaction included Morrison Foerster, who acted for DFC.
