Khaitan & Co the first Indian firm to have 200 partners globally

They are from the market-leading practices across its offices in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai and Singapore

In a significant move, Indian law firm Khaitan & Co has promoted 21 associates to partnership and 11 to counsel. This makes it the first Indian law firm that has a 200 partner strong team and 25 counsels across its offices globally.

Haigreve Khaitan, the Senior Partner at Khaitan & Co said, "A leadership team of 200 partners is a major milestone for us and signifies our tremendous growth journey. Each of our lawyers has earned the confidence and trust of their clients and colleagues to become trusted advisers. We are elated to welcome them to our partnership. While we have a storied legacy behind us, we remain young in our mindset and look to our young partners to keep us nimble-footed on this journey."

"As a firm, we are committed to encouraging and investing in creating a younger generation of leaders. Achieving this milestone is a testament to our rich talent base. We could not be happier to recognize their accomplishments. With their elevations to partners and counsel, we remain committed to providing more bespoke, and legally and commercially astute legal services to our clients," he added.

Amar Sinhji, the Executive Director, Human Resources, at Khaitan & Co stated, "Every partner plays a critical role in innovating and enhancing client engagement. Many of them are home-grown and will continue to perpetuate our unique culture and value systems. They will groom young lawyers in the same mold, to become the leaders of tomorrow. Ultimately a good leader nurtures and creates other leaders.

"This is the value-based talent model that has seen our firm's sustained and steady growth for more than 110 years. We are very proud of all our newly minted partners and wish them all the very best in their professional journey ahead," he added.
