Cleary, HSF advised Lygend on its IPO in Hong Kong

Lygend Resources & Technology's (Lygend) $472 million Initial Public Offering (IPO) in Hong Kong was advised by Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton and Zhejiang T&C Law Firm.

Herbert Smith Freehills and Commerce & Finance Law Offices advised the sponsors.

Lygend claimed to be the world's largest nickel product trader and the largest in China in terms of nickel ore trading in 2021. The company has a market share of 26.8 percent in 2021.

The HSF team was headed by Hong Kong partner Jason Sung, with assistance from partner Jin Kong on US securities law. T&C's team included managing partner Lv Chonghua, Cheng Hui (director of the firm's Ningbo office), and Zhao Yan (partner).

Imran Muntaz & Co. and Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung (Indonesian firms), were also involved in the deal.

The deal was sponsored by CICC and CMB International.
