Latham & Watkins Represented SailingStone Capital Partners in Trinity Gas Storage Investment

Latham & Watkins LLP represented SailingStone Capital Partners LLC in its equity investment in Trinity Gas Storage, LLC, a company that is developing a natural gas storage facility in Texas. The investment is part of a larger equity consortium that includes Transition Equity Partners, LLC (TEP), Pan Capital Management, Abrdn, and Rice Investment Group.

Debt financing for the project is being led by Investec, who will act as Joint Lead Arranger and Administrative Agent.

This funding marks a crucial milestone in the development of Trinity's natural gas storage facility, which is set to play a pivotal role in fortifying energy security across Texas.

Latham & Watkins' corporate deal team on the transaction is led by Houston partner James Garrett, with associates John Daywalt and Vera Bespalova. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Houston partner Jared Grimley.
