The European Commission has ensured that Apple complies with landmark rules requiring it to open its closed ecosystem to rivals.
Under the specifications, the antitrust regulator will explain how Apple must abide by the Digital Markets Act (DMA).
The EU competition enforcer said, "The first proceeding focuses on iOS connectivity features and functionalities, predominantly used for and by connected devices. The second concentrates on the process Apple has set up to address interoperability requests submitted by developers and third parties for iOS and iPadOS.”
