Stephenson Harwood And Allens Advised On $726 Million Acquisition Of MMA Offshore By Cyan Renewables
Stephenson Harwood and Australian law firm Allens have advised Singapore’s Cyan Renewables, which specializes in offshore wind farm vessels, on its acquisition of ASX-listed MMA Offshore for A$1.1 billion (approximately $726 million).
MMA Offshore was represented by Australian law firm Thomson Geer, while Allens also acted on behalf of infrastructure investor Seraya Partners, the owner of Cyan Renewables.
This acquisition is the largest takeover deal in the wind power sector in the Asia-Pacific region so far this year. The report highlights the growing appeal of renewable companies and assets, driven by a global shift towards zero-emission economies.
Founded two years ago, Cyan Renewables is an offshore vessel portfolio company and this acquisition represents its largest investment to date. The company is owned by Seraya Partners, which focuses on energy transition and digital infrastructure.
MMA Offshore operates a fleet of 20 vessels across various international jurisdictions, including Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the U.S.
