Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Saudia on its groundbreaking acquisition of 50 electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) jets from Lilium GmbH, with options for an additional 50 aircraft.
This order marks the largest eVTOL jet purchase by an airline in the MENA region and is a key component of Saudia’s strategy to lead in the emerging eVTOL market.
The deal encompasses both premium and shuttle eVTOL aircraft intended for tourism and business transport, aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Global project and the Vision 2030 initiative.
Dan Cowdy, a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright, remarked, “We are thrilled to support Saudia in this historic order of 50 eVTOL jets. This acquisition highlights Saudia’s commitment to pioneering advancements in the aviation industry.”
