Clifford Chance Acted On $30 Million Loan For Axian Energy’s Renewable Expansion In Africa
Global law firm Clifford Chance has played a pivotal role in advising the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund (EAIF), a company within the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG). The focus of this collaboration was a $30 million senior secured loan facility extended to Axian Energy.
Axian Energy’s ambitious plan involves expanding its renewable energy generation capacity across Africa, aiming to deliver over 460 Megawatts through utility-scale projects over the next decade.
This financing underscores Clifford Chance’s commitment to partnering with clients on bankable renewable initiatives throughout the African continent.
The Clifford Chance legal team, led by Corinne Duvnjak, Counsel and co-head of the firm’s Francophone Africa group, received valuable support from Thomas Chneiweiss (Senior Associate) and Gaspard Nouind.
