Carey Olsen Advised Sanctum On Launch Of AI-Powered Investment Fund

In a move showcasing the intersection of finance and technology, Carey Olsen has played a pivotal role in advising investment services firm Sanctum FI LLP (Sanctum) on the launch of an Artificial Intelligence AI-powered investment fund.

Sanctum, acting as the investment manager of Financial Science Holdings Limited (FSHL), has introduced a newly established closed-ended investment scheme based in Guernsey. The fund, FSHL, is designed to deliver long-term capital growth by leveraging a diversified portfolio primarily comprising equity securities and bonds.

At the heart of FSHL's investment strategy lies the utilization of cutting-edge machine learning algorithms. These algorithms, meticulously crafted through extensive research and development, harness AI capabilities to analyze a myriad of fundamental, price, and other data. The objective is to identify undervalued stocks and bonds across a risk-adjusted portfolio, thereby enhancing investment performance while keeping costs low.

The core algorithmic engine continuously adapts to market dynamics, providing a regularly updated portfolio structure. It strategically selects the component percentage compositions of securities, with a primary focus on stocks and bonds, to optimize compounding long-term capital growth for investors.

Carey Olsen, through the expertise of Partner Matt Brehaut, Senior Associate Rachel de la Haye, and Associate Bhavik Mehta, provided comprehensive legal and regulatory guidance to Sanctum on all aspects related to the fund in Guernsey.

Stephenson Harwood, represented by Partner Nick Horton and Managing Associate Kate Longman, served as lead counsel to Sanctum in this endeavour.
