The agreement will boost its presence in the East African country
The prestigious Indian law firm, Khaitan & Co has advised Luxmi Tea Company for the acquisition of Sorwathe Ltd, one of Rwanda’s oldest tea companies.
The deal will strengthen Luxmi Tea’s position as a pioneer in the industry and give a fillip to its presence in Rwanda. The company owns three estates in Gisovu, Pfunda and Rugabano through its subsidiary, SilverBack Tea.
The core team comprised Bhavik Narsana (Partner), Devidas Banerji (Partner), Arindam Bhattacharjee (Principal Associate) and Sushmit Mandal (Associate).
