DLA Piper Enhances Finance Team in Singapore with Addition of Soumitro Mukerji

DLA Piper has announced the appointment of Soumitro Mukerji as a Partner in its International Finance practice, based in Singapore. Soumitro brings a wealth of experience from his previous role at Mayer Brown, where he served as a Partner in the Banking and Finance practice

A seasoned banking and finance lawyer, Soumitro has extensive expertise in the Asian and European financing markets. He has advised a diverse range of clients, including funds, banks, financial institutions, corporations, and financial advisors, covering various credit and geographic spectrums. His areas of practice include fund financings, sponsor-backed financings, structured lending, limited recourse financings, and corporate lending.

Specializing in fund finance, Soumitro has provided guidance on fund financing transactions across all asset classes, advising on matters that have collectively exceeded USD 8 billion since 2019.

Qualified in both India and England & Wales, Soumitro has worked in major financial hubs, including Mumbai, London, and Singapore. His addition to DLA Piper’s Finance team in Singapore, which includes notable Partners such as Vincent Seah (Country Managing Partner for Singapore), Matthias Schemuth, and Jared Green, significantly enhances the firm’s capabilities in the region.
