Davis Polk & Gibson Dunn Advised Nippon Paint on $2.3 Billion Acquisition of AOC

Davis Polk & Wardwell has advised Japanese paint manufacturer Nippon Paint on its $2.3 billion acquisition of U.S. chemicals formulator AOC from Lone Star Funds, which was represented by Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. According to Nippon Paint, this acquisition will facilitate its expansion into the U.S. and European markets, bolstering its position in the coatings, colorants, and composite resins sectors.

AOC is recognized as a leading supplier of specialty formulations and solutions, allowing customers to develop robust and versatile products for various applications.
