Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to machines' ability to perform tasks that would typically require human intelligence, such as decision-making, visual perception, speech recognition, and language translation. For several decades, AI technology has been applied in various industries, from finance to healthcare, to automate tedious tasks and expedite decision-making with greater accuracy. The continued advancement of AI will profoundly transform how humans interact with technology.
AI has become ubiquitous, from chatbots to virtual assistants, in various aspects of life. Businesses leverage AI to automate mundane tasks, generate personalized customer experiences and achieve a competitive edge. However, AI is not the panacea for all challenges as it cannot replace human intelligence and creativity. AI presents potential risks such as privacy concerns and biased decision-making. Therefore, adopting AI should entail a meticulous consideration of the benefits and drawbacks, in the backdrop of well guided legal and policy framework.
The application of AI has the potential to revolutionize how humans live and work, but it is not without drawbacks.
