Shantanu Sahay
Shantanu Sahay is a Partner with Anand and Anand and In-Charge of its IT and E Commerce Law Practice Group. Shantanu is also part of the Privacy Practice Group of the Firm. As part of the practice, Shantanu has been acting for various Software/ IT companies such as Microsoft Corporation, Business Software Alliance, Bentley Systems, Dassault Systemes, HCL etc towards their anti-piracy campaigns in India which includes initiating civil law suits in Courts on behalf of these companies as well as carrying out criminal enforcements tasks across India. Shantanu has also been advising various IT start ups and SMEs towards effectively protecting their Intellectual Property Rights in India and overseas. He is also engaging of various companies in negotiating and finalizing IT contracts on behalf of his clients. As part of the Privacy Practice Group, Shantanu actively advices his clients in the field of privacy laws that also includes inter alia conducting Data Privacy Impact Assessments and related advisory.
