SEBI Re-Elects Justice (Retd) Shiavax Jal Vazifdar As Public Interest Director At BSE Limited
The position will be effective from 19 May
The Security and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has re-elected Justice (Retd) Shiavax Jal Vazifdar as Public Interest Director on the Board of BSE Limited (formerly Bombay Stock Exchange) for three years.
Justice Vazifdar was appointed the Acting Chief Justice of the Punjab & Haryana High Court on 15 December 2014 and sworn in as the Chief Justice on 6 August 2016. He retired on 3 May 2018.
He became an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on 22 January 2001 and was confirmed on 22 January 2003. He continued in the position till 14 December 2014. Earlier, he practiced as an advocate on the Original and Appellate Sides.
On 17 October 1980, he was enrolled as an advocate of the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa.
