Nitya Tax Associates, Indirect tax boutique, has opened an office in Bangalore and added former Deloitte associate director Sreekumar Nair as associate partner to head the new office.
Nair and two other lawyers will operate out of a co-working space in Bangalore’s Workafella Business Centre.
Nair, a Nuals Kochi 2010 alumnus, had stints with Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan (LKS) and Economic Laws Practice (ELP) before joining Deloitte Bangalore in January 2018.
Currently, Nitya has two other offices - in Delhi and Gurgaon, in addition to Bangalore. The Bangalore office will serve the need of proximity to local clients, said managing partner Puneet Bansal.
Bansal commented: “We wanted an office to be in Bangalore, it was an aspiration for quite some time. We keep looking out for good people who can match with the firm’s values [and expand] as and when we find them.”
