Hyundai gets Yogesh Wadhwa on board to drive its Indian legal market
Wadhwa will be responsible for all of Hyundai India Motors' legal and secretarial issues as its General Counsel
Hyundai India Motors has hired the services of a new General Counsel to take care of all its legal and secretarial issues in India.
Yogesh Wadhwa, a law and commerce graduate from Delhi University, joined the automobile company with effect from April 2021. He has relocated to Delhi's suburb Gurugram (Gurgaon) from Nissan Dubai where he was responsible for driving its legal market across the Middle East, including the GCC, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
Yogesh brings with him two decades of experience across law firm and MNCs in the automobile and Oil & Gas sectors.
He entered the automobile industry when he joined General Motors as its General Counsel in India before moving on to Renault & Nissan India in the same capacity. He was later transferred by Nissan to Dubai to take care of its legal market across the Middle East.
Yogesh picked up valuable experience in the Oil & Gas sector during his association with Halliburton and Cairn Energy. He also had exposure with law firm/consulting with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Fax Mandal in the past.
His areas of expertise include – 'Corporate & Commercial law practice', 'Sourcing & Supply Contracts', 'M&A', 'Contracts', Litigation', 'Anti-Trust issues' and 'Compliance'.
He has also supported Compliance (FCPA and UKBA perspective), Government Relations and Public Policy function in previous roles.
