Haryana's RERA to introduce digital court
It will become a pioneer in providing homebuyers a quicker resolution of disputes with the developers
The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) of Haryana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with technology firm Jupitice Justice Technologies for the digitalization of the complaint redressal system.
The Chandigarh-based company would design and develop RERA's digital court to enable its stakeholders to execute and perform end-to-end Dispute Resolution Mechanism (DRM) online from the comfort of their home or office.
K K Khandelwal, the chairman of RERA, Gurugram, Haryana said the company would offer technical expertise to the authority to facilitate dispute resolution and delivery of justice in a simpler, quicker, safer and transparent manner under the pilot project.
The users would be provided with end-to-end abilities to plead and conduct all the proceedings under the quasi-judicial mechanism - from filing disputes to decision-making. "The consumers need not visit the RERA office for their case proceedings," Khandelwal added.
Raman Aggarwal, the founder and CEO of Jupitice Justice Technologies, said that with the partnership, the authority could support large, scalable and evolving needs of the complainants/disputants in the real estate industry. It would provide enhanced access, quick and inexpensive settlement of commercial disputes by leveraging new-age technologies.
While the digital court would support Artificial Intelligence-enabled self-representation, all useful documents related to the respective cases would be secured through the Blockchain-enabled digital locker, Aggarwal informed.
