First London Partner hired from US rival by Winston & Strawn in Over Two

Years the first London lateral hire has been made by Winston & Strawn in over two years, taking on Anthony Riley, who has been a Partner with Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe since 2011.
Riley, ranked second in the UK’s most active deal lawyers by volume in the first half of 2017. His practice areas cover corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactional work.
The first lateral joiner for Winston’s London office since January 2017, Riley has significant experience in the energy and infrastructure sector. Earlier in March, Winston hired capital markets partner Khoon Jin Tan from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati for its Hong Kong office.
