Anand & Anand & Khimani association comes to an end
After four years of partnership Pravin Anand and Priyanka Khimani part ways mutually
It is the end of the road for Anand & Anand & Khimani, as managing partner Pravin Anand and co-founding partner Priyanka Khimani undergo a mutually agreed upon and swiftly concluded dissolution process.
The move has ended the four-year-long partnership between Anand and Khimani. Having moved into a bigger office at Nariman Point in Mumbai within seven months of the partnership, the firm had also opened an office at Bandra.
Anand, who has been a counsel in several landmark intellectual property (IP) cases, is the first Indian legal practitioner to receive the AIPPI Award of Merit. The Financial Times recognized him as the 'Most Innovative Lawyer'.
With over four decades of experience, Anand has represented the world's most famous brands including Christian Louboutin and Cartier and numerous pharmaceutical and technology majors.
Commenting on the disbanding of the firm, Anand said, "We have done some path-breaking work with Khimani & Associates and the partnership has had a good run. I wish them good luck in their future endeavors."
On the other hand, Khimani's journey from being a law student to being named the youngest partner ever in the legal firm scaled unparalleled heights by being a part of Forbes Top 100 Lawyers List 2021.
Speaking on the closure of the association, she said, "It has been a pleasure to work with Anand and be guided by his experience. Though the partnership has run its course, I am glad that we have amicably reached an understanding to pursue our respective dreams."
Khimani will now operate under her firm's earlier avatar – Khimani & Associates – along with her team as a full-service law firm with a bent towards the media and entertainment arena. Most of her team, including the practice leads, are women lawyers.
