Mateen Bajerai
Mateen was called to the Singapore Bar in 2022. He has acted for clients in international arbitration in institutions such as the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He has also appeared in civil and criminal matters before all levels of the Singapore courts. Mateen is an Associate in the International Arbitration Team at Bayfront Law and handles a wide range of matters including: internal investigations, tech disputes, shareholder disputes, minority oppression cases, defamation cases, breaches of fiduciary duty, funds disputes, contentious insolvency matters, and construction disputes.
Mateen also has experience advising on and acting in employment disputes relating to the enforceability of restrictive covenants, breach of confidentiality, personal data breaches, wrongful termination, employee investigations, remuneration disputes and breach of employee duties. He has also advised on employment-related complaints to the authorities on issues such as discriminatory hiring practices.
