Recognizing the extraordinary talent and excellence of our legal fraternity - 11th Annual Legal Era - Indian Legal Awards 2021-22
We all need to push ourselves considering how important legal expertise has become for business in general. At a time when blurring geopolitical boundaries, economic and technological advances are creating a host of challenges for the legal fraternity, cut-throat competition being the least of them, how does one choose the best legal counsel? Is there a yardstick to judge the best legal practitioner, legal team, or law firm the industry has to offer?
Legal Era Magazine of the Legal Media Group was among the first to identify this problem and offer a solution. Ten years ago, it instituted the Legal Era Awards aka Indian Legal Awards, to recognize and acknowledge legal finesse, innovation, and accomplishments of Legal Practitioners, In-House Teams, and Law Firms.
From the time of their introduction in 2011 till date - ten years and nine editions later - the Indian Legal Awards have grown from strength to strength standing out in a crowded legal awards market as one of the most coveted, credible, and impartial awards in the industry. And to add, the awards have a distinctly international flavour transcending geographical borders and recognizing outcomes over cross-border and cross-functional matters and roles.
Merit alone decides the winners, who are selected by an independent jury comprising the most distinguished names in the business. The applications, once received, go through layers of exhaustive research and industry reviews to ensure that the selection and scoring processes are thorough and all achievers are equal in the jury, be well known or (relatively) unknown names. All of that while also considering 2021's diverse circumstances, opportunities, and experiences.
Notably, the Indian Legal Awards continue to be the most coveted certificate of competence in the Indian legal industry. Only the best talent is picked up by the eminent jury after a rigorous process of selection. Each Legal Era trophy signifies a journey of navigating through 2021-22, leading teams with courage, versatility, and resourcefulness, and servicing clients with transformative solutions.
Last year’s 10th Edition Legal Era Awards glittering virtual ceremony saw the most heart-warming and inspirational acceptance speeches as we celebrated the winners who welcomed disruptions and challenges fearlessly. Their brilliant minds and indomitable spirits truly in tune with last year’s edition’s theme.
That said, we’re inviting submissions to the 11th Edition Indian Legal Awards 2021-22 that promises to be no less phenomenal! To be held on 25th March 2022, the last date for sending in your entries is 31th Jan 2022
The Awards are categorized as: Law Firms, In-House, Individual, International, and Premier League, to reflect the painstaking work undertaken by law firms, legal teams, and legal practitioners in India and abroad. The Awards span practice areas both old and new, such as banking, insurance, media and entertainment, pharmaceuticals, information technology, telecommunication, and e-commerce. The selection criteria include service type and range, business type and operation, and individual/team expertise, among others.
Some of our ground-breaking titles include Lifetime Achievement, Legal Icon of the Year, Star General Counsel of the Year (Male and Female), and Star Young Achiever (Law Firm and In-House). Over the years, we’ve also done some tweaking like adding new categories to meet the changing needs of the legal scape and now the continuing distinctive challenges of 2021.
Coming back to the 11th Edition Indian Legal Awards 2021-22, they will provide networking and branding, and sponsorship opportunities, including extensive coverage in pioneering publications like Legal Era Magazine.
