P&A Law Offices
P&A Law Offices (“P&A”) was established in New Delhi in late 1996.
The Firm aims to assist and advise its clients in India and internationally on a broad range of corporate, commercial and financial transactions, as well as on dispute resolution matters.
The Firm’s clients include large Indian conglomerates, major Indian and international banks, Fortune 500 and multinational corporations, and governmental organizations.
P&A’s body of work to date has included strategic acquisitions and divestitures, privatizations, joint venture arrangements and restructurings, oil, gas and power projects, infrastructure development and project finance transactions, private equity and venture capital investments, technology and software licensing arrangements, capital markets work, such as ADRs, GDRs, private placements and debt securities offerings, banking and structured finance projects, intellectual property registrations and infringement counselling, antitrust advise, litigation and international arbitrations, along with general corporate and commercial work.
P&A’s lawyers regularly handle all stages of a transaction or dispute. For example, in a transaction, P&A typically would handle the structuring, drafting of documents for and negotiation of the transaction, notification for antitrust approvals and antitrust assessment of the transaction, and the procurement of relevant foreign investment and Reserve Bank of India approvals.
P&A lawyers have substantial Indian and international legal practice experience. Along with being admitted to practice law in India, a number of P&A lawyers are qualified to practice in other jurisdictions such as the United States of America and England, where they have also spent substantial time practicing law. Several of our lawyers have extensive experience with US and European Union matters and with the laws of the European Union and East Asian countries. As a result, they combine Indian business, legal, and cultural expertise with North American, European and Asian legal experience, as well as the responsiveness and creativity demanded by our multi-national, blue-chip clientele. This distinctive and unique combination of skills enables our lawyers to become trusted advisors and offer clients a complete solution to their legal requirements.
