New York law firm Gottlieb Rackman & Reisman mourns the loss of veteran attorney Diana Muller.
Describing her as a 'recognized expert in international trademarks and copyrights, representing top brands like LVMH, Perrier and Longchamp' in a statement announcing her passing on 9th February 2022, in Miami, Florida.
'We will miss her, as she was an adorable mother, friend and colleague,' the entire firm mentioned.
A native of Argentina, Muller joined Gottlieb Rackman in 1997 after earning degrees in international law and legal studies at the University of San Francisco and the University of Buenos Aires.
A pioneer of athlete naming rights, Gottlieb Rackman described Muller as a 'a driving force behind the creation of programs in the US and abroad to protect the names of sports figures and entertainers' in addition to her experience with trademarks and copyrights. Irvin 'Magic' Johnson, Michael Jordan and Pele were among the athletes she represented.
Diana was a brilliant, accomplished and respected international attorney, wrote Jerry Neuburger, a partner principal at Worldwide Marketing & Merchandise on LinkedIn. 'I had the pleasure of knowing her for over 40 years.' She was loved, respected and missed by incalculable numbers of people.
As a law professor, Muller presented to groups like the New York Women's Bar Association and as a guest lecturer at New York University on topics like licensing, trademark development, foreign investments and the protection of IP rights in developing countries.
As part of ASIPI, the Inter-American Association for Intellectual Property, she has also served as ex-president of the Entertainment Law Committee.
In a LinkedIn status update, IP lawyer Sarah Segal wrote: "Diana was a wonderful mentor for me and had often taken me under her wing. Her role model status was extraordinary and I'm grateful for the opportunity to know her.
Diana Feller will be deeply missed, said Mitchell Feller, a partner at Gottlieb Rackman, "I am privileged to have known and work with Diana."
