Vivekananda Neelakantan Appointed Registrar Of Singapore International Arbitration Centre
Vivekananda Neelakantan Appointed Registrar of Singapore International Arbitration Centre
The Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) has appointed Vivekananda Neelakantan as its new Registrar, effective January 1, 2025. Neelakantan will succeed Kevin Nash, who is stepping down following his appointment as the Director General of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).
Neelakantan, a graduate of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, was enrolled as an advocate in 2006. He began his career at Luthra & Luthra in India before moving to the chambers of Senior Advocate Rajeev Dhavan. Neelakantan's journey with SIAC began in 2011, where he served as Deputy Registrar and Head (South Asia) until 2014.
He later worked with Allen & Gledhill in Singapore before rejoining SIAC in 2023 as Deputy Registrar.
Davinder Singh SC, Chairman of the SIAC Board, expressed his enthusiasm in a press release: “We are pleased that Vivek will be our new Registrar. Lucy Reed, President of the SIAC Court, also welcomed Neelakantan's appointment:
