Vivek Mittal Appointed Executive Director, Legal and Corporate Affairs at HUL
Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), a leading FMCG company, has announced the appointment of Vivek Mittal as its new Executive Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs. He will join HUL’s management committee in March 2025, succeeding Dev Bajpai, who had announced his decision to retire in October 2023.
With over 25 years of extensive legal experience, Mittal has worked across various industries, particularly in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and technology. A seasoned legal counsel, he brings expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, foreign direct investment (FDI), litigation management, risk management, corporate laws, board and related procedures, real estate laws, compliance under the Companies Act, RBI regulations, ethics and compliance (including FCPA and UKBA), data privacy, employment and industrial labor laws, and direct and indirect taxation.
He currently serves as Global General Counsel at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and has held key roles at companies including Danaher Corporation, Lupin, Reliance, Radico Khaitan, India Bulls Group, Caparo India Operations, and Mount Shivalik Industries. His leadership in managing complex legal and corporate matters has made him a trusted business advisor and people leader.
His appointment is expected to enhance HUL's legal and corporate governance capabilities as the company continues to grow in a rapidly evolving business environment.
