Chicago headquartered global law firm Mayer Brown on 11 March 2021 announced versatile lawyer Jason Quintana joining the firm as a partner in its Mergers & Acquisitions practice in Chicago. Jason Quintana joins Mayer Brown from Perkins Coie LLP.
"Jason is a versatile and experienced adviser in the aerospace and defense industries, with an impressive background in M&A," said Jodi Simala, a co-leader of Mayer Brown's global M&A/PE practice.
"Jason's experience, including working in-house M&A positions at Mitsui & Co. and The Boeing Company, will have a considerable impact on growing our strategic M&A capabilities, and serving our clients in their global transactions and operations," Jodi Simala added.
Jason Quintana has vast experience in advising public and private strategic operating companies and private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on structuring, documenting, negotiating and consummating complex business transactions.
His expertise includes mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, growth equity investments, recapitalizations, joint ventures, and executive compensation and equity incentive arrangements besides representing clients in strategic, high-value cross-border transactions in the aerospace, defense, telecommunications, technology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, insurance and entertainment industries.
"Jason's invaluable experience advising companies on complex transactional matters, particularly within the aerospace and defense industries, makes him an ideal candidate for Mayer Brown," said Britt Miller, the managing partner of Mayer Brown's Chicago office.
"Jason's addition aligns with our strategic plan to continue building upon our corporate capabilities in Chicago and throughout the firm's global platform," Brit Miller added.
Before joining Perkins Coie, Jason Quintana served as senior counsel at The Boeing Company, where he was responsible for leading domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, growth equity investments and joint ventures across the enterprise, including for Boeing's commercial airplanes, defense, and space and financing organizations.
"Mayer Brown offers a collaborative culture and incredible resources in terms of its talented lawyers and superior platform to service clients," Jason Quintana said, adding that he was looking forward to joining the firm's strong M&A team, which consists of over 1,600 lawyers. Mayer Brown has its offices in 26 cities across the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
