Veena Gopalakrishnan to join Trilegal as partner in Bengaluru
She has been serving at AZB & Partners
Veena Gopalakrishnan is set to join Trilegal as a partner in the labor and employment practice at the Bengaluru office. With her appointment, the partnership strength of the firm has risen to 87.
With over 14 years of experience in employment law advisory, Gopalakrishnan specializes in complex issues relating to workforce structuring, employee mobility, benefits (including stock-linked), contentious senior managerial exits, and reductions in force and closures.
Nishant Parikh, the partner, and member of the management committee at Trilegal said, "We are very happy that Gopalakrishnan will be joining us soon. She is an extremely accomplished professional and very passionate about her practice. Trilegal is known to have the top employment practice in the country and Gopalakrishnan adds more depth to our service offering to clients who have a growing need for sophisticated employment law advice."
Rahul Matthan, the partner at Trilegal, commented, "It is wonderful to welcome Gopalakrishnan into the partnership. She is a great addition to our market-leading labor and employment practice and perfectly complements the skills and expertise of the other three partners in the practice. Perhaps more significantly, she is a Trilegal alum, and it is especially gratifying to welcome her back home."
Advising on laws pertaining to workplace sexual harassment and discrimination, Gopalakrishnan worked with organizations and industry bodies to conduct workshops and awareness programs on creating respectful workplaces, policy building, workplace sexual harassment, LGBTIQ inclusion, and diversity and inclusiveness in the workplace.
A 2008 graduate of the ILS Law College, Pune, Gopalakrishnan joined Trilegal in 2009, working there for three years. She has also served at DSK Legal and Nishith Desai Associates.
She is the vice-chair of the Employment and Immigration Law Committee of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association.
