Tenable hires Michelle VonderHaar as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer
Tenable hires Michelle VonderHaar as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer
Michelle VonderHaar is announced as its new chief legal officer and general counsel by Tenable, the Exposure Management firm. As a senior executive at numerous large, fast-growing technology businesses, VonderHaar brings in 30 years of domestic and international legal experience to the table. She has overseen M&A, corporate financing, governance, compliance, litigation, international commerce, and other legal matters.
Most recently, VonderHaar worked for HP as senior vice president, deputy general counsel, and assistant secretary. During this time, she led the development of the company's commercial worldwide legal affairs division, which grew from a three-region model to nine geographic markets. In the year before she joined HP, VonderHaar served as Veritas Technologies' senior vice president, general attorney and board secretary. Additionally, she has worked in numerous legal capacities for Symantec Corporation. There are several non-profit boards on which VonderHaar sits; among them are the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation, the Urban Libraries Council and Parents Helping Parents.
"Michelle has an exceptional record of facilitating technology innovation and worldwide expansion with her acute business insights and legal expertise," stated Tenable CEO Amit Yoran. "Her experience and knowledge are important to the organisation and we are thrilled to have her on board."
VonderHaar remarked, "Cyber security is a rapidly expanding industry that is indispensable to businesses." I'm excited to join Tenable's dedicated team and use my experience to facilitate the company's next stage of growth.
