K&L Gates, an Am Law 100 law firm in the United States, with international offices, has hired Susan Munro as a counsel in the firm's international arbitration practice. She was a partner at Steptoe & Johnson, where she worked for over 12 years.

Munro specializes in international arbitration, investigations and risk assessment, international regulatory compliance, ethics and corporate governance, employment and other transactional representations.

A former chief representative of Steptoe's Beijing office, she relocated to Hong Kong in 2019 to help the firm launch its office in the Special Administrative Region.
