Shalaka Patil and Meyyappan Nagappan join Trilegal as partners
The lawyer strength of the firm is now 82
Trilegal has hired Shalaka Patil and Meyyappan Nagappan for its aggressively growing disputes practice. While Patil was serving at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as disputes partner, Nagappan was working at Nishith Desai Associates as a leader in digital tax, and social finance.
Patil focuses on international and domestic arbitration, litigation, disputes advisory services and policy. A 2009 graduate of Government Law College, Mumbai, she holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. She has also worked with Bharucha & Partners and Nishith Desai Associates. In 2015, she joined Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.
Nagappan is a 2010 graduate of NALSAR, Hyderabad and holds an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge. He has previously worked with senior advocate Mohan Parasaran when the latter was a solicitor general of India. He has also worked as a panel counsel for the Central government and ONGC. In 2016, he joined Nishith Desai Associates.
