Shafaq Uraizee Sapre joins C&M as Mumbai partner to expand the firm
Shafaq Uraizee Sapre joins C&M as Mumbai partner to expand the firm
She was previously serving as a partner at J Sagar Associates.
Chandhiok and Mahajan has announced that it has added Shafaq Uraizee Sapre as a managing partner in the corporate and M&A practice in Mumbai.
She has over 20 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments and transactions. Sapre has represented multinational corporations, private equity firms and family offices in complex domestic and cross-border transactions.
Pooja Mahajan, the managing partner at the C&M remarked, "We are thrilled to welcome Sapre. She is an exceptional lawyer and we have great admiration for her work. Her addition represents an important milestone in the firm’s expansion in Mumbai. We look forward to building C&M with her.”

Sapre was earlier a partner at J Sagar Associates. Prior to that, she headed the corporate practice at Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan and was the head of the joint venture practice at Nishith Desai Associates.
