Seasoned Legal Professional Devika Chadha Joins Sunsure Energy as General Counsel
Devika Chadha, a seasoned legal professional with a strong background in the renewable energy sector, has recently taken on the role of General Counsel at Sunsure Energy, a prominent provider of renewable power solutions. With an impressive 14 years of experience in the industry, Chadha previously held the position of Assistant Vice President of Legal at ReNew Power, where she made significant contributions to the company's success.
Prior to her tenure at ReNew Power, Devika Chadha accumulated valuable experience at various prominent law firms, including DSK Legal, Phoenix Legal, and HSA Advocates.
During her tenure at ReNew Power, Chadha assumed a pivotal role in the organisation, overseeing the company's mergers and acquisitions (M&A) department. Her expertise and strategic vision played a crucial part in shaping the company's growth strategies, as she spearheaded various M&A activities, joint venture initiatives, and the establishment of new business ventures.
Through her astute leadership and legal acumen, Chadha facilitated ReNew Power's expansion and solidified its position as a leading player in the renewable energy sector.
Now, as General Counsel at Sunsure Energy, Chadha brings her wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. Her deep understanding of the legal landscape within the renewable energy industry will be instrumental in guiding the company's legal affairs and ensuring compliance with regulations. Chadha's expertise will be vital in navigating the complexities of the renewable power sector as Sunsure Energy continues to grow and thrive in its mission to provide sustainable energy solutions.
In her new role at Sunsure Energy, Devika Chadha will assume leadership responsibilities for the legal, secretarial, and compliance functions, cementing her position as a member of the organisation's leadership team.
In her conversation with India Business Law Journal, Devika Chadha expressed her views on Sunsure Energy, emphasising the company's foundation based on robust values and profound technical expertise, positioning it as a significant contributor within the renewable energy industry. According to Chadha, the sector has experienced a remarkable expansion in the past decade or so, and she anticipates that this growth trend, accompanied by consolidation, will persist in the years to come.
“My prior experience in the sector, interactions with the founder and the senior leadership team backed by the solid foundation rooted by the Partners Group in Switzerland, made it an obvious choice for me to come on board,” Chadha stated.
