Sai Vara Prasad is Vice President & Regional Head-Legal at Reliance Jio
He was previously serving as a litigation head at Oyo
Sai Vara Prasad has joined Reliance Jio as Vice President & Regional Head-Legal. He will look after the firm's legal matters for the southern region.
With over 22 years of experience, Prasad's expertise lies in rendering advice on legal strategy, litigation and disputes, contract management, and legal operations, along with overseeing compliance management.
He has over 20 plus years of diversified experience that includes law firm practice and in-house counsel for telecom, banking, IT, and hospitality industry (Indian/MNC).
Prasad has extensive exposure in establishing litigation management systems, contract management, legal & compliance processes, regulatory operations and policies, advisory, internal training on anti-trust, data protection & privacy, strategic legal planning, commercial arbitration, corporate laws, civil and criminal laws, property laws, consumer litigation, IPR & IBC matters.
His extensive experience also lies in mapping and managing legal, reputation and regulatory risks and in handling government and regulatory authorities.
A 1999 graduate of the Department of Law, University of Calcutta, Prasad held leadership positions in multiple leading organizations, including Standard Chartered Bank, Vodafone, Aircel, Airtel, and Dell. For three years, he served as the Vice President & Head - Litigation & Disputes at OYO.
