Saga Legal appoints Neeraj Vyas as Partner in Bengaluru
He has earlier held senior positions at leading organizations including Samvad Partners and Indus Law
Neeraj Vyas has joined Saga Legal as a partner to diversify its general corporate, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and banking and finance practices.
With over a decade of experience, Vyas has represented clients across diverse industries. His expertise includes transaction advisory in guiding startups, early-stage enterprises, and late-stage investors through various stages of investment deals, including facilitating investors' exits from portfolio companies.
Welcoming Neeraj to the team, Gaurav Nair, the managing partner at the firm remarked, “Our practice in Bengaluru has grown faster than expected and we were looking for someone with the right cultural alignment to become the face of our Bengaluru office. In our interactions with Vyas, we not only found him to be completely aligned with a vision to grow the practice but also understood that he is widely respected for his craft in the corporate and PE-VC ecosystem in Bengaluru.
Neeraj added, “Vyas’s onboarding is the perfect start to establishing a wider presence in the southern region and we are open to welcoming more partners as we have plans to continue this expansion and diversification into different areas and contribute to a well-functioning, transparent, and compliant corporate, and financial environment. By enabling businesses to operate efficiently and make sound financial decisions, Saga Legal will play its part in driving innovation and economic growth.”
Sanika Mehra, the recently appointed Co-Managing Partner, and head of corporate practice stated, “We have seen and worked with Vyas on the opposite side many times. While his technical grip on law is remarkable, what distinguishes him is the way he tailors innovative solutions through a blend of legal and commercial nuances. The clarity of his approach and brevity with which he simplifies jargon, are appreciated by the clients."
Expressing enthusiasm, Vyas commented, “The firm already has a presence in Bengaluru, and I’m tasked with the responsibility to further bolster its practice. While collaborating with a dynamic and talented team will require me to think on my feet, I also eagerly anticipate a journey that will be both demanding and rewarding. I look forward to the dynamic challenges, continuous learning, and the opportunity to work closely with innovative businesses and investors. With the firm’s expertise and my experience, I believe we have the potential to play a crucial role in shaping and facilitating strategic investments that drive business growth and innovation.”
A 2014 graduate of the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, earlier he held senior positions at leading organizations including Samvad Partners, Indus Law, and ICICI Bank Limited.
