Saakshya Law's Siddharth Raja merges his practice with Vertices Partners
Saakshya Law's Siddharth Raja merges his practice with Vertices Partners
Joining along with his team, he will co-head the firm as a senior partner in Bengaluru
Siddharth Raja, the co-founder of Saakshya Law Advocates has merged his firm with Vertices Partners.
With decades of experience in private equity, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and joint venture transactions, his expertise extends to cross-border movements in the legal advisory.
Commenting on the move, Vinayak Burman, the founder, and managing partner of Vertices Partners said, "Raja is a friend and has been known to me for several years. He brings with him a seniority and pedigree that further bolsters the partnership's strength in terms of practice and industry expertise. This addition will be of tremendous tangible and intangible value for our focus on the relevant practice areas, cross-border, pan-India, as well as at a regional level."
Burman added, "Our clients stand to benefit from the breadth and depth of knowledge that our core brings with a collective of hundred human experience years of professional expertise amongst the partnership. We are excited to kick off this phase of growth in the Vertices family."
Raja commented, "I have known Burman since 2008 when we worked across each other on a transaction and many more since. My team and I have had the pleasure of getting to know many of his partners and colleagues during these deals. Our respective practices, teams, and cultures are an ideal fit with each other."
He added, "Together we will now have the foremost PE/VC and M&A practices in the country – the undeniably strongest and cutting-edge Indian and cross-border law firm, delivering genuine value for our clients. For me, this move represents my deepest affirmation of building a legacy practice collectively as a firm, far into the future. My commitment to achieving that objective is steadfast and, daresay infectious."
A 1997 graduate of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, in 1998, Raja earned his LL.M. in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick.
He has worked in the Hong Kong office of O'Melveny & Myers, specializing in cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He has also been a partner at Udwadia & Udeshi and a senior partner and executive director at Argus Partners. In 2013, he co-founded Samvad Partners. He was the co-founder of Saakshya Law Advocates along with Aditya Narayan, and Megha Malhotra Narayan.
