Rajeevan Nair joins Malabar Group as Executive Vice President and Group Head-Legal, Compliances & Corporate Affairs.
Malabar Group has appointed Rajeevan Nair as the Executive Vice President and Group Head Legal, Compliances & Corporate Affairs and Company Secretary of Malabar Gold & Diamonds.
Malabar Gold & Diamonds is the Flagship Company of Malabar Group with Annual Turnover exceeding US$ 5 billion.
Mr.Nair will focus on strategies and play a critical role along with the Steering Committee of the Group for consolidation. He will also lay the groundwork and road map for capital raise events.
Malabar Gold & Diamonds is well-known for 30 years in the jewellery industry, presently having 312 showrooms globally with a presence in 10 countries. These are - India, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
It is entering into new markets in Canada, the UK, Australia, South Africa, Egypt, Bangladesh, Turkey and New Zealand.
The Company has seven manufacturing facilities in India and six manufacturing facilities abroad at Dubai, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Bangladesh.
Malabar Gold & Diamonds is the largest jewellery retailer in India and the 6th largest in the world. Its vision is to become the world’s largest in the times to follow.
In addition, the Group has a significant presence in sectors including real estate, shopping malls, hospitality, and facility management.
Having done his B.Com, LL.B, ACS, AIIA, and DIPRs, Mr.Nair has vast international and domestic experience in legal, compliance, corporate affairs and taxation.
Nair has over two decades of experience, holding leadership positions in companies including L&T, Oberoi Realty, Welspun Energy, TATA Housing, Avvashya Group, and Parle Agro.
