Premji Invest Appoints Vardaan Ahluwalia As New General Counsel

Vardaan Ahluwalia has recently assumed the role of General Counsel at Premji Invest, transitioning from his previous position as Head - Legal.

Before joining Premji Invest, Ahluwalia served as a Legal Advisor at Ashurst Fintech Legal Labs. He also held a Partner position at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas from 2019 to 2021.

Ahluwalia specializes in private capital, investments, banking, fintech, stressed acquisitions, and regulatory finance law. He is passionate about corporate valuation and impact investing, with expertise in fintech and financial institutions.

In his new role, Ahluwalia is responsible for analysing all transactions undertaken by Premji Invest and managing the legal team. His duties include structuring, negotiating, and managing transactions across various practice areas, including equity and debt investments in both public and private markets. He also provides legal advice to the investment and finance teams, assists with corporate governance and risk management, and oversees the legal team and external counsel mandates.
