Perry Hicks rejoins Mayer Brown as Partner
Perry Hicks has rejoined Mayer Brown as the Banking & Finance practice partner in Charlotte. Hick primarily focuses on private investment fund finance. He joins from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP.
Hicks has experience in private investment fund and energy commodities secured transactions. Over the years, he has advised many leading global financial institutions in secured fund financings, including NAV, hybrid and subscription facilities to hedge funds, family offices and private equity debtors.
Routinely, Hicks' practice involves advising global financial institutions as agents, lead arranges and creditors in syndicated lending transactions to leading energy and commodity companies.
"Mayer Brown has a leading fund finance practice and a global and comprehensive banking and finance team to support my practice and better serve my clients," said Mr. Hicks. "The real joy in rejoining the firm, however, is the opportunity to work with many of my former colleagues and to contribute to the further expansion of the firm's fund finance capabilities in an environment of exceptional client service."
"Perry's experience, combined with his substantial knowledge of the fund finance market, will broaden our alternative fund finance capabilities in Charlotte and beyond," said Keith Oberkfell, the managing partner of Mayer Brown's Charlotte office. "We are confident that our clients will benefit from his dedication to client service and approach to sophisticated finance transactions."
