Namitha Mathews of Algo Legal and DSK Legal's Jitendra Soni join Argus Partners
While Mathews will handle dispute resolution and venture debt, Soni will join the corporate and M&A practice
Namitha Mathews, the Partner at Algo Legal and Founder of Samvid Legal and Jitendra Soni, the Associate Partner at DSK Legal have joined as Partners at the Delhi office of Argus Partners.
Mathews graduated in 2006 from Symbiosis Law School, Pune and is enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi. With over 15 years of experience, previously she headed the disputes practice at Algo Legal. She founded Samvid Legal, which was merged with Algo in 2020. She has also worked with UCOL Advocates and Consultants and SPLC Advocates and Consultants.
She has extensive experience in the domain of litigation, dispute resolution and corporate advisory assignments across jurisdictions. Her primary areas of focus include civil, company, and private estate laws, alternative dispute redressal systems, real estate, infrastructure, property laws, white-collar, education, corporate governance, private equity, financing and acquisitions, fintech and the digital payment space.
Soni is a 2013 alumnus of the School of Law, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. In a career spanning nine years, he has worked with leading law firms including Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and AZB & Partners.
As part of his technology practice, Soni has routinely advised clients on traditional and emerging technologies, both, in an advisory capacity and as a part of wider transactions. He also has extensive experience in the data protection space. His transactions practice includes representing startups, growing businesses and investors on the full suite of corporate transactions, including private equity, venture capital, acquisitions and joint ventures.
While Mathews will be with the Dispute Resolution, General Corporate, Real Estate & Infrastructure, and Venture Debt practices, Soni will join the Corporate and M&A, Private Equity & Venture Capital, Technology & Data Privacy practices of the firm.
