Mekhla Anand joins Krishnomics Legal
Earlier associated with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, she will be working in the firm's Delhi office
The New Delhi-based firm Krishnomics Legal has hired Mekhla Anand as a partner. Having worked for six years with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM), she was heading the indirect tax practice at the firm.
Anand is a 2003 graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NLSIU), who began her career with one of the Big Four accounting firms PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), India. After working there for four years, she joined the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas as a principal associate for over seven years. And later joined CAM as a partner.
With nearly 19 years of experience, Anand is known for her expertise in the areas of cross-border structuring, turnkey contracts, mergers and acquisitions and tax litigation.
She has represented clients before various indirect tax authorities, including the Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT) and Sales Tax Appellate Tribunal in relation to indirect tax disputes.
