M Vasudev Rao Assumes the Role of President - Group General Counsel at Hinduja Group
M Vasudev Rao, an industry veteran with 28 years of in-house experience, has assumed the role of President - Group General Counsel at Hinduja Group Limited.
Graduating in 1991 from Guru Ghasidas University, Rao also holds certification in Leadership in Corporate Counsel from Harvard Law School.
He is well experienced in Governance, Legal Policy Framework, Capital Markets and Financial Regulation, Mergers and Acquisitions, Enterprise Legal Risk Management, Dispute Resolution and Arbitration, Intellectual Property, Cross Border Contract & Commercial, Stakeholders Management, State Engagement (including Regulators & Enforcement Agencies), Enquiries and Investigations, Forensic Audits, Regulatory proceedings, Policy and process, Training and Orientation, Compliance and Corporate Social Responsibility.
He has also worked closely with Boards, Auditors, Regulators, CEO and Heads of Departments and teams across functions.
With a diverse background spanning Financial Services and Regulation, Media & Entertainment, Information Technology, and Retail and CSR, Rao brings a wealth of experience. His previous roles include serving as in-house counsel at Bennett, Coleman & Co Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited.
Before joining Hinduja Group, Rao spent over 11 years at NSE India, where he held the position of Executive Vice President Group General Counsel & Head CSR for nearly 3 years.
