Grab hires Cindy Sim Xin Yee for digital bank role
Kuala Lumpur based Grab Digital Bank appoints Cindy Sim Xin Yee, as Head of Legal In-House Counsel. Previously she worked as partner at Malaysian law firm Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill.
In 2012, Sim joined Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill as an associate in the dispute resolution department. She used to handle banking litigation work and in 2020 she was promoted into partnership. She has acted for local and foreign financial institutions and borrowers as a banking and finance practitioner. It included multinational corporations, listed issuers and government-linked companies.
Sim is experienced in the issuance of corporate bonds and sukuks (Islamic bonds), property development matters and financial compliance and regulatory issues. She has advised on domestic and cross-border financing on a bilateral and syndicated basis.
