Godrej Chakradhar Varadarajan to quit to embark upon his next professional journey
After a successful professional stint of 9.5 years as the EVP/Head, Corporate Legal at Godrej Industries Ltd & Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., Chakradhar Varadarajan – Head – Corporate Legal has decided to quit the organization.
Coinciding with his service of 25 years of service as an in-house counsel for the Indian FMCG industry and with overall 31 years of successful work life as a Corporate legal Counsel for the Indian industry, Mr. Chakradhar has decided to move out to embark upon his next professional journey.
Mr. Chakradhar has held in-house legal service leadership roles for 31 years as value adding in-house counsel and for the last 25 years he has been associated with India's FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) sector, resolving several legal challenges.
As Corporate Head - Legal for Godrej Industries Ltd. And Godrej Consumer Products Limited(GCPL), Mr. Chakradhar oversaw in-house legal services for consumer products business in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Mozambique, Savannah in the USA, Argentina, Chile and in-house legal services for Godrej Industries-Oleo Chemicals and Veg Oils.
Before joining Godrej, he has worked with Hindustan Unilever Limited as Senior Legal Counsel. Prior to that he has also worked with Cargill as Legal Counsel – India and with ITC Limited, Tata Teleservices Ltd., Maxworth Orchards India Limited-AP and Nagarjuna Investment Trust Ltd.
Mr. Chakradhar completed his Five Year Law Course (1983 to 1988) from Government Law College/Bharathiar University Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Mr. Chakradhar will be moving out of Godrej by August end 2022.
