Emily Coupland named as the General Counsel of AXA UK and Ireland
French insurance multinational AXA has named Emily Coupland as General Counsel of AXA UK and Ireland.
Earlier she was the General Secretary at AXA partners for five years. She is set to take over the post from Edward Davis, who is retiring after 27 years with the business. Emily will provide legal counsel on all aspects of the UK and Ireland operations.
Emily spent fifteen years at AXA UK Plc including 11 years as General Counsel for Wealth businesses and as Deputy Head of legal.
She has also worked as a senior associate at New Zealand law firm Harkness Henry and had a stint as sole in-house counsel at Power Beat International.
