Devi Prasad Patel joins Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. as a Partner in Capital Markets Practice in New Delhi
Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. has announced the appointment of Devi Prasad Patel as a Partner in the Capital Markets Practice. He will be based out of the Firm’s New Delhi office and will be advising clients on various aspects of capital markets transactions.
Devi has almost ten years of experience in representing issuers and underwriters across a range of equity capital markets transactions including Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), rights issues and Qualified Institutions Placements (QIPs) with a focus on drafting and review of legal documents and agreements, legal due diligence and collaboration with senior management of issuers, investment banks and auditors.
Devi served as a Partner at Khaitan & Co. LLP (Delhi) where he dedicated almost six years to his practice and was associated with SAM & Co. (Delhi) for four years. In his diverse career, he has advised on Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), Qualified Institutions Placement (QIPs), Rights Issues and Preferential Allotments.
He holds a master’s in law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law and a Bachelor of Law (Hons.) from Amity Law School, Amity University Uttar Pradesh.
