Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas boost Disputes Practice with Lomesh Nidumuri
Lomesh Kiran Nidumuri joined Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) as a Partner in its Disputes Practice. He will lead the disputes practice for South India and also augment the international arbitration practice of the Firm. He will be based out of Bengaluru office.
Lomesh has close to two decades of experience in advising clients in all types of civil and business/commercial disputes, cross border disputes, domestic and international arbitrations. In many disputes, he has acted as a lead counsel conducting trial and arguments before courts and arbitral tribunals. Over the years, he has also acted for clients in a variety of matters relating to shareholder disputes, technology related disputes, oppression and mismanagement, projects and construction, restructuring and corporate insolvency, actions against governmental bodies, intellectual property rights (particularly in relation to trademarks, copyright, domain name disputes and trade secret disputes), employment matters, tenders, and white-collar crimes.
On his joining, Mr. Cyril Shroff, Managing Partner, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, said that "We are delighted to have Lomesh on board. He is well respected in the profession for his knowledge & skills. We intend to scale up our disputes team in the South under his leadership. His talent and commitment will give a huge boost to our South disputes practice."
Lomesh took degree in law from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University in 2004 and Masters in Law from New York University School of Law in 2008.
Taking over his role, Lomesh said, "I am very excited with this opportunity to build the South disputes practice for CAM, and also bolster its international arbitration practice. I am grateful to Mr. Cyril Shroff and Mrs Vandana Shroff for trusting me with this immense responsibility. I am now eagerly looking forward to this new phase of my professional life at CAM."
